South Africa
Join Adventure Dynamics on a journey to one of the worlds most beautiful mountain areas, the Drakensburg mountains. Situated on the border of Lesotho and South Africa, it gives rise to a towering amphitheatre and a spectacular free standing buttress named The Sentinel. Over 3000 meters high, the route to the Sentinel’s summit is attainable, safe and challenging. This adventure involves not only climbing the Sentinel, but also spending a day on top of the Amphitheatre. Once up the infamous chain ladders, camp will be set up on the banks of the Tugela River just as it disappears over the edge and falls more than 900m, making it the world’s second highest waterfall. The technical climb is suited for all people and is 20m high, the rest is scrambling to the summit. You will abseil the 20m section back down.
