CLIMB THE VIA FERRATA
Magaliesburg
Magaliesburg
A Via Ferrata (Iron Way) is a stairway anchored on the side of a mountain. It was designed to move troops speedily over the Alps during the world wars. There are presently more than 300 Via Ferratas in the world and is the fastest growing outdoor sport in Europe. The Via Ferrata at Shelter Rock in the Magaliesburg is the only one in Africa.
Why climb the Via Ferrata:
If you are looking for a new exciting outdoor experience with an adrenalin rush you will enjoy our Via Ferrata.
This is a hiking and mildly demanding 100m high ladder climbing experience with safety harnesses.
” What a wonderful experience and an adventure for all – no experience required and suitable for all ages. The guides were brilliant and safe!” Steve Biggs, Sandton, Johannesburg.
Some climb for the view and others climb to tick off a challenge on their bucket list, while some hike to remember their place in the world.
